The Additive Manufacturing Workshop for Plastics is an immersive, half-day event focused on the effects of 3D printing technology on production. After the success of the inaugural event at NPE 2018, we are bringing the workshop to Amerimold, home of moldmaking and plastics processing.
We are quickly approaching that intersection of either designing your part for injection molding or designing it for additive manufacturing. Now you need to make that choice. Not everything is a fit for additive manufacturing, and not everything is a fit for injection molding. That choice is yours, and I will highlight the differences between designing for those technologies. Carbon is a toolless injection molding machine, creating a new category of manufacturing and accelerating into production. It is the first company to create non-porous parts from materials, comparable to existing thermoplastics in material properties and stability. At the intersection of hardware, software and molecular science, Carbon enables you to manufacture production parts in same material and technology.
